Mission Statement

The Office of Grants and Contracts is a unit under the direction of the Vice President for Research and Technology Transfer, whose mission is to foster support of the University’s research mission. This is accomplished through the provision of service, support, and training to faculty and staff in identifying, securing, and managing external funding resources in support of university research, community service, and training initiatives.

Moreover, the OGC ensures compliance with federal, state, and local government policies, regulations, and laws, private foundation and corporate requirements, and institutional policies and procedures as they relate to sponsored research. The Office of Grants and Contracts also houses the university’s Institutional Review Board which is charged with reviewing proposed research with human subjects in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
