Please review this Post-Award Responsibilities @ NSU flowchart (PDF) for a brief discussion of the post-award responsibilities of each of the three parties (the Office of Grants and Contracts, the Grants and Contracts Accounting team, and the PI/PD) once an award is made. Please contact the OGC Grant Officer assigned to your college/center/department with any questions about the OGC duties, or James Lai with any questions about the accounting duties.

Other services and resources provided to the university community by the Office include service and support to the university’s Institutional Review Board for research with human subjects, over sight of the pre- and post-award phases of the President’s Faculty Research and Development Grant program, completion and dissemination of ad hoc/management reports relevant to grant/contract activity, the development and dissemination of various grant/contract-related fact sheets, brochures, manuals, and policies and procedures, and the maintenance of the Office’s web site.

External support of research, teaching/training, and community service activities is generally recognized as being of critical importance in the role and scope of institutions of higher education. It is with this in mind, that the Office of Grants and Contracts is committed to the provision of quality services and most importantly an attitude of support and encouragement to faculty and staff who are involved in conducting projects and programs through external funding support.
