The loggerhead turtle was spotted on North Beach near Sims Street. Experts said they aren't sure what killed the young turtle. "It's hard to determine what the cause of death was. There's no obvious injury," said Susan Lewis, a sea turtle conservation specialist. "She could have ingested something that kept her from eating. She's probably been dead for a while." Experts said it's not unusual for dead sea turtles to wash ashore during nesting season.
