
MARINE GEOLOGY (CORE) (OCOR-5604-OD1; CRN:41070)
Introduction to Marine Geology includes lecture topics ranging from plate tectonics, hydrothermal vents, and the geological
history of climate change, to the geology of Florida. Lab projects will utilize microfauna collected in surface and core
samples from Florida Bay for environmental reconstruction projects. Microfauna labs will include use of light microscopy, and
an introduction to scanning electron microscopy (SEM) . Two exams, and preparation and presentation of lab and library research
papers will be required.
LAB FEE $175
