Betty Jane Botter Changing Lives Nursing Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,500

Requirements:

  • Must be in good standing in your program of study
  • Minimum GPA of 2.5
  • Applicant must reflect continuous improvement from the 1st through the current semester and financially supporting yourself (no support from parents, spouse or other family members)

Award: $1,500

Requirements: Must live in Broward County and be a single mother who is in good standing with their program of study. Demonstrate a GPA that reflects a strong academic focus and demonstrate financial need which is based on the student's Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for the 2012/2013 academic year. A letter of appreciation to the Donor is also required.

Army Nurse Corps Association: 2013 Memorial Scholarship Program

Award Amount: $3,000

Requirements: Currently enrolled baccalaureate or advanced degree nursing or nurse anesthesia students who are serving or have previously served in any branch of a component of the US Army (Active Army, Army National Guard and Army Reserve). Army Nurse Corps officers in a component of the US Army enrolled in a baccalaureate or advanced degree nursing or nurse anesthesia program not funded by a component of the US Army. Enlisted soldiers serving in a component of the US Army enrolled in a baccalaureate or advanced degree nursing or nurse anesthesia program not funded by a component of the US Army. Nursing or anesthesia students whose spouse or either parent is serving or has served in a component of the US Army.

Requirements: Enrolled in a nationally accredited nursing program. Must be a Florida resident for at least one year and must have completed at least one semester in the Nursing program which must be located in Florida. A minimum GPA of 2.5 for undergraduates and a GPA of 3.0 for graduates.

March of Dimes Graduate Nursing Scholarship

Award: $5,000

Deadline: TBA

Requirements: Applicant must be a registered nurse who is currently enrolled in a graduate program in maternal-child nursing at the master's or doctorate level. Must have at least 1 academic term to complete after August of the year in which the scholarship is awarded. Cannot be a previous recipient of the March of Dimes graduate nursing scholarship and cannot be an employee or a member of its Board of Trustees or a family member of either. Application must be a member of at least one of the following professional organizations: the Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses; the American College of Nurse-Midwives; or the National Association of Neonatal Nurses.

Requirements: U.S. citizens training to become allopathic physicians, osteopathic physicians, nurse practitioners, nurse midwives or physician assistants and dentistry. Must be enrolled full time or accepted for enrollment. School and program must be in the United States or its territories.   • Scholarship awards will be deposited directly into the NSU accounts of the winning students

Healthcare Professionals Loan Repayment Program

Award Amount: Up to $50,000 repayment towards nursing school loans

  • $20,000 will be applied to an education loan for each of the first two years
  • $10,000 will be applied to an education loan for the third year
