Advance Your Career
Beyond the ceiling
"NSU gave credit from overseas experience. It was a very smooth experience transferring credits from another school and there was no test that I had to take that proved I knew how to be a nurse." - NSU Alumni (2006 Alumni Dinner)
At NSU, we offer:
Development at your own pace
At NSU, we help you structure programs to move at your own pace. The program can be completed in five terms or 18 months (three terms in a year). In the case of the MSN degree, you should expect the program to take 2 to 2 ½ years depending on the track you select.
How much time you spend will be based on several factors to include your study style, time management, the professors’ methods, and your study area. It is generally felt by polling current students that approximately 4-6 hours per week per class will be the average. This will include study time, assignments, reading, discussion board activities and interactive internet activities.
A professional environment for busy lifestyles
Most of our graduate students are working professionals with busy lifestyles. To accommodate their hectic schedules, we offer online venues and remote class access via video conferencing. In the event that work pressures interfere with quality study, you may elect to take fewer credits per term and complete in a longer time frame. “It had been a long term goal of mine to obtain my bachelors before my first child graduated high school. I made it with a month to spare and now I am in back in the BSN program.” - NSU Alumni (2006 Alumni Dinner)
A private study atmosphere to maximize your potential
At NSU, we encourage collaborative learning experiences, but respect the private study atmosphere especially appreciated by those seeking a self-paced approach to their education. Numerous study areas are provided across the campus with complete wireless access throughout the library and classroom areas.
