Fast track to success
"NSU gave credit from overseas experience. It was a very smooth experience transferring credits from another school and there was no test that I had to take that proved I knew how to be a nurse." - NSU Alumni (2006 Alumni Dinner)
At NSU, we offer:
18 month RN-to-BSN degrees
The RN to BSN program may be completed in 18 months, depending on the number of semester hours the student chooses to complete each term. “My primary reason for returning to school is to give back to the community” - NSU Alumni (2006 Alumni Dinner)
Year round registration
Applications are accepted year round for RN to BSN entering classes. The Office of Admissions works on a rolling admissions basis where RN to BSN candidates can submit applications and transcripts as late as August 1 for the fall entering class and as late as December 1 for the winter entering class. Similarly, in the case of the MSN program, you can apply at any time and start at the next available start date (January 1, April 1 or October 1)
High transference of course credit
The curriculum is planned to give maximum transfer credit to the practicing RN. In fact, NSU has one of the best reputations for honoring semester hour credits for general education courses completed at a college or university. For the RN to BSN track, students are awarded 61 semester hours of prior learning credits. “NSU gave credit from overseas experience.
