ABSTRACT SUBMISSIONS

Abstract Submission is now closed.

Abstract Update
On behalf of the 11th ICRS Abstract Review Committee and Local Organizing Committee, we thank all the abstract submitters. We received an unprecedented submission of over 2,500 abstracts representing 114 countries for inclusion within the 26 Mini-Symposia!

Concurrent sessions are limited to 12 (as in the 10th ICRS in Okinawa). Therefore a limited number of oral presentations are possible during the 5 day Symposium. A decision process was implemented to assign orals and posters in the most equitable way possible.

We view both types of presentations as having great value. Note that papers deriving from either type are eligible to be considered for inclusion in the Symposium Proceedings.

We very much look forward to seeing you all in Fort Lauderdale come this July!

Abstract Notification
Due to the extension of the original abstract deadline, the notification of abstract acceptance will now be in early February. Notifications will be by email to the presenting authors only. Additionally, the deadline for oral and poster presenters to register is now Friday, March 14, 2008. All presenters must be registered and paid by this date. Authors not registered for the meeting will have their abstract withdrawn and their presentation slot will be forfeited. Only registered authors will have their abstract printed in conference materials. Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Oral and Poster Presenters

More information will be posted and emailed to you in April with the specific details of your session and audio-visual or poster board requirements.

Poster size

  • Posters will be presented on 4' x 6' display boards in landscape orientation (6 feet wide by 4 feet high).

Replacements and Corrections

  • No modifications, including author and affiliation changes are allowed after December 15, 2007.

Withdrawal

  • All presenters not registered by March 14, 2008 will be automatically withdrawn and their presentation slot will be forfeited.

Notification

  • All acceptance notices will be sent as a bulk e-mail. Many times web-based e-mail accounts (e.g., Hotmail, AOL and Yahoo) automatically send bulk e-mail messages into the junk mail folder. Please check both your inbox and your junk mail folder for your acceptance notice.
  • If you have not received your acceptance by January 21, 2008, please contact the 11th ICRS by e-mail at ncopen@faseb.org.
  • It is the responsibility of the presenting author to ensure that the 11th ICRS has a valid and current e-mail address. This will ensure timely disbursement of your abstract acceptance notice.

Publication

Accepted abstracts will be published in the 11th ICRS Abstract Book. Abstracts will be standardized in font and presentation. Abstracts will not be edited. Thus, any error that appears in the submitted abstract will appear in the printed abstract.

NOTE: ABSTRACT SUBMISSION DOES NOT CONSTITUTE MEETING REGISTRATION. All presenters not registered by March 14, 2008 will be automatically withdrawn and their presentation slot will be forfeited.
