SuperKids!
SuperKids! is an individualized, innovative, hands-on
approach to working with students with learning disabilities
or attention deficit disorder, underachievers, or students
requiring remedial attention set within a clinical design
model. Students work within small groups with a master-level
teacher (2:1). They meet twice weekly for one hour. An
individualized learning program is developed for each student
and creative activities are planned. Strategies and
methods taught augment student learning in the areas of
reading, writing, and math.
Students graph their academic performance as part of this
unique opportunity to develop and/or review basic skills. As
they chart their progress, students become involved in
their own learning and develop good organizational skills
and the ability to think and work independently. This
highly motivating tracking system enhances the students'
self-esteem as they work closely with a teacher to reach
their academic goals.
