Child Care Financing

Market conditions force many families to place their children in less-than-adequate child care settings. Child care is market driven. Families purchase what they can afford, and staff compensation remains at inadequate levels to retain educated and inspired teachers.

Staff of the Mailman Segal Institute conduct research, provide written reports, and present sessions at state and national conferences in the effort to increase awareness of and develop solutions to the child care cost-quality crisis.
