Useful links
- These are some of the links our members have found useful for
business and school:
www.export.gov - A comprehensive site for all your export
questions.
www.eflorida.com - Trade information and electronic business
leads are just some of the features on this site.
www.thinkglobal.net - This site has lots of information
including a world clock, a currency converter, and a text translator.
ISIC
card – One of the most valuable tools on my IFS trip
was the ISIC Card. It’s an international student ID card endorsed
by UNESCO. Among other things, it gives you discounts on hotels
& flights, provides travel insurance, 24-hour emergency assistance,
and can even be used as a phone card. Check it out at: http://www.isic.org

“Do Not Call” registry for cell phones
- On January 1, 2005 the Feds are required to release cell phone
numbers to telemarketing firms. You may receive unsolicited calls
on your cell phone, using up your minutes. To register your phone
numbers on the national "do not call" registry go to:
http://www.donotcall.gov (Edgar DeVelasco)
Credit
card fees - Most credit card companies charge a service
fee for using your card abroad. Check with your credit card companies
before you travel to check which has the lowest fees or no fees
at all, which give the most travel insurance, and which give free
car rental insurance (Amir Stamper)
