The
MIBA Alumni Chapter
The MIBA Alumni Chapter aims to fill a void
within the MIBA alumni community. Today over 300 MIBA alumni reside
in the South Florida area but unfortunately, there were no mechanisms
in place to connect us to NSU or each other. Although, the idea
for an alumni chapter started as a personal need, it was echoed
by alumni and students alike. In response, the MIBA Alumni Chapter
was formally launched on March 16th, 2003 with the help of the Office
of Alumni Relations.
The MIBA Chapter
is an organization composed of alumni and students who share an
interest in international business. As the MIBA program grows, it
becomes harder for the alumni and students to keep in touch once
they graduate and potential business contacts are often lost along
with the business opportunities that should follow. Throughout the
past year we held networking meetings, brought professionals to
talk about various topics, and had fun during social events all
with the aim of creating networking opportunities and bringing our
MIBA community closer.
The Chapter is lead by
five NSU alumni. We are a group of friends that enjoy spending
time with each other and appreciate the value that the alumni
chapter can provide the MIBA community and ourselves. Chapter
officers have also been joined by guest contributors Kharin Gibson
and Ralph Krabbes. The MIBA Chapter officers are:
