Join us throughout the months of June and July for summer fun and reading. Programs for all ages. Register to win prizes for reading. Check out our Schedule of Programs below.

Every Tuesday, 2:00-3:30 pm. Ages 7-12 years.

That's Entertainment
Make your own puppets and put on a puppet show.

Sports Highlighes
Dance Dance Revolution, games, and newspaper crafts.

A Messy Business
Crazy creations with paper.

Summer Fun!
Drama workshop with Laura Clune.
Pre-registration required for June 26th only

What's Cooking?
Make a potholder to put your hot food on while dishin' up the news.

July 10
Front Page News!
Create and publish your own newspaper.

July 17
Current Events: Harry Potter
Celebrate the release of the Harry Potter movie and the upcoming release of Harry Potter #7. Activities include Reeta Skeeter reporting, an owl delivery race, and crystal ball making.

July 24
Arts and Leisure
Play with clay and make fantastic animals, plants, and other sculptures.


Tiny Tots Free Play

Every Wednesday, 10:30-11:30 am. Infants up to 24 months.

A one-on-one play experience for ages up to 24 months only, with caregiver. Free play encourages socialization, literacy, shape awareness, fine and gross motor skills, and lots of fun, in a small-group setting. Limited enrollment. Weekly pre-registration is required. Phone registration for each session starts on previous Friday after 9:30 am.


Fun with "The Shermanettes!"

Every Thursday, 10:30-11:30 am. All ages.

Join the library's own Shermanettes for puppets, stories, songs, and crafts! Lots of fun for all ages.


Super Saturdays

Every Saturday, times vary.

June 2
12 noon - 3:00 pm. All ages.
Summer Kick-Off Celebration!

Signups for Summer Reading prizes start at noon and continue through July!
12-2 pm: Join us on the Library Plaza for costumed characters, juggler, hair painting, ices and fun!
2 pm: Join us in the library for a wacky, interactice puppet show by Duck In A Truck. They will really QUACK you up!

June 9

Bob Nathanson's Puppets to Go
present "The Frog Prince."

June 16
2:00-2:45 pm. All ages.
Mr. Brian and the Boppets
"Rock and Roll Puppet Show."

June 23
2:00-2:45 pm. All ages.
Jiggleman Show comedic acrobat Banks Heinrich tumbles, jokes, and balances on a 6 foot ball!

June 30
1:00-3:00 pm. All ages.
Family Fun and Games
Join us for some old-fashioned family fun; Board games, puzzles, coloring, and more!

July 7
2:00-2:45 pm. All ages.
The Shermanettes
present stories, songs, and puppetry.

July 14
10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Ages 12 and up.
Teens Only
for Alvi-con 2 Anime, Manga, Gaming, Cosplay contest and all things Otaku.

July 21
1:00-3:00 pm. Ages 7 and up.
Hogwarts Extravaganza
Celebrate the final book in the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows! Three lucky attendees will win their very own copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. 1-2 pm: Hogwarts games and activities. 2-2:45pm: Magic show featuring professional magician Mike Winters!

July 28
2:00-3:00 pm. All ages.
Ice Cream for Lunch

Cool off with us and make your own sundae at our Ice Cream Bar! Featuring musician and author Darell House.
