Library Gallery
Established in 2006, the Library Gallery is located on the second floor of the
Alvin Sherman Library, Research, and Information Technology Center at Nova Southeastern
University. The gallery is used to showcase a revolving display of exhibitions
with a broad range of appeal and subject matter promoting the University or the
Alvin Sherman Library's materials and programs and that are also of interest
to the general public. Priority is given to displays that support the mission
and curriculum of NSU. Exhibits are for the education and enjoyment of NSU faculty
students and staff and the general public.
The Gallery opened in February 2006 with
Rock My Soul: The Black Legacy of Rock and Roll, an exhibition from the Rock
and Roll Hall of Fame developed by the League of Michigan Artists. This exhibit
featured works of art by 10 African-American artists, each inspired by and
representing African-American music.
Serving both the University and the wider community, the gallery hosts a number
of exhibitions yearly that range in topic from fine art to the historical.
The Gallery is intended not only for the exhibit of artworks, but also as a
performance space for music recitals, poetry readings, and other arts and cultural
events.

From I-95 (North or South) or Florida’s Turnpike (North or South)
- Take the I-595 West exit
- Proceed on I-595 to take the University Drive exit (Exit 5) and continue
south on University Drive to SW 30th Street/Abe Fischler
Blvd.
- Turn left (east) onto SW 30th Street/Abe Fischler Blvd., and after
passing the Miami Dolphins Training Facility on your
right (approximately 1/2 mile),
make a right turn onto the North entrance of the campus
(this is Ray Ferrero, Jr. Blvd.).
- The parking garage will be on the right. Public parking costs $1.00
per hour.
