About Collection Development

The Collection Development Department is located on the third floor of the Alvin Sherman Library, Research and Information Technology Center in the Administrative Suite. Collection Development's mission is to make certain that the library provides the resources to meet the information needs of the people using the facility. This department is responsible for evaluating and selecting materials to add to the collection both in print and online. The Collection Development Department also evaluates donations of materials to the library.
