OPAC Icons

The icons below were originally developed for the redesign of the NSU Libraries WebOPAC. Some are original designs, and others are enhanced versions of icons provided by Innovative Interfaces with the 2005 LE OPAC example set. Note that at least half of the material types you see below were created for our OPAC's redesign to better represent our collections. This entailed large batch record updates, made by our bibliographic specialist and other members of our Technical Services department, so that the records in our system would match the icons associated with them in our WWWOPTIONS.

The top 2 FAQ's

My library does NOT have an Innovative Interfaces OPAC. Can we use these icons for our catalog?
Unfortunately, no. Since many of the icons carry some part or element that was original artwork created by Innovative Interfaces and supplied with the default OPAC files, it is copyrighted material. I am only allowed to share it with Innovative User Group libraries to respect original author rights of these icon elements.

I represent an Innovative Interfaces customer library. How do I request permission to use them?
Just email me using the link below. Please acknowledge our work whenever possible, as done by Ruth Connell in the Valparaiso University Libraries website.
When you contact me, I will send you the master .png (Fireworks) and .psd (Photoshop) files with all the icons in layers.
