Library closing advisory
Monday, 9/18/08 3:00pm EST:
By order of the University President, the library will be closed starting today at 5:00pm and through tomorrow.
Please see the NSU Hurricane Information webpage for the latest advisories.
University and library closing policy
The Office of the University President is the only source of authority to declare partial or complete closings in the NSU campuses, regional sites, and/or locations. In the event of an official Hurricane Warning (or severe weather conditions) announcement, the University President will decide when, if, and which portions of the university will be closed.
Always refer to the NSU Hurricane
Information webpage for the most up-to-date hurricane-related announcements or call the NSU weather hotline at (954) 262-7300.
The Alvin Sherman Library is located in the main campus in Davie, Florida, so any main campus closing announcement applies to the library as well. The library website and electronic resources will remain operational as long as possible. However, all University servers may be be shut-down at any time due to safety measures or damage, which would cause the library website, library catalog, and electronic resources to become unavailable.
PLEASE NOTE: Should the NSU web site (www.nova.edu) become unavailable due
to a hurricane, please visit the mirror web site at http://blackout.nova.edu. Please
bookmark this link * in the event it is needed.
* Note: The library website will not be available at that mirror site.
