American Religion Data Archive

ARDA collects a variety of data on churches, church membership, religious professionals, groups and more.
Center for Responsive Politics

The Center for Responsive Politics monitors money and lobbying as it relates to politics and policy. According to the center's website their goal is to "inform", "empower", and "advocate".
Gallup Poll
     http://www.gallup.com
Gallup (famous for the Gallup Poll) provides some information and public opinion statistics on an array of topics and social issues.
Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy

The website offers PDFs of statistical data for different types of issues from economical and geographical to social. The Statistical Abstract (including older editions) are available in print.
