American Film Institute

This is the official American Film Institute (AFI) website. It contains various AFI film lists, as well as organizational information and film education possibilities.

Black Film Center/Archive

The Black Film Center/Archive at Indiana University is a repository for African-American films and their website offers information about the archive and descriptions of many of the films in their collection.

Box Office Mojo

The website has a variety of film box office statistics including current and previous box office data.
British Film Institute

The official British Film Institute (BFI) website.
Europa Film Treasures
   http://www.europafilmtreasures.eu/
A free searchable site that contains over 70 films from various European archives. This includes numerous motion pictures from the silent era as well.
Film in Florida

This website by the Governor's Office in Film & Entertainment for the state of Florida has some basic information and promotional tidbits about filming motion pictures in Florida.
Internet Archive

Provides access to over a thousand films online including some older feature films and the Prelinger Archives as well.
Internet Movie Database
   http://www.imdb.com
One of the most comprehensive free web site databases for film and television facts and data including cast and crew listings, reviews and more.

MIC (sponsored by the Library of Congress) is an archival and informational tool for various moving image collections.

Silent Era Film Website

This website contains all types of cast, film and DVD information as well as an index on many films from the silent motion picture era.
