Scirus is one of the most comprehensive science-specific free online search engines. It contains over 17 million records from sources, some are free and full-text, such as ScienceDirect, MEDLINE on BioMedNet, Beilstein on ChemWeb, BioMed Central, etc.

BioTech, located at the University of Texas at Austin, is a hybrid biology/chemistry educational resource and online research tool.
