Workshops
Hands-on workshops are scheduled on a regular basis at the Alvin
Sherman Library and other locations. They cover such
topics as: APA style, EndNote, Finding dissertations, Finding empirical
research, Tests and measurements, and Web searching.

Individual Library Training
Librarians are available to provide individual library training and/or
research consultations at the Alvin Sherman Library (Main Campus). Complete
an Individual Library Training Signup Form
or stop by the Reference Desk to schedule an appointment. Distance
students may schedule an appointment for a phone consultation using
the same Signup Form.
Group Library Training
For public groups:
Outreach instruction is available to
Broward county residents, organizations, and school groups, including
all Broward
County schools (9th grade or higher). The intent of Outreach instruction
is to facilitate access to the library's resources. For details or
to schedule a group training session, please see the Outreach

For information on instruction or field trips for school groups of
Kindergarten through 8th grade students, please see Public

For NSU classes/courses:
Faculty members, site administrators and cluster coordinators can
arrange to have a librarian teach library and research skills at their
regular meeting place or in the Alvin Sherman Library. For details or
