Genealogy Collection: Programs & Events

New events calendar  Please see Happenings@the Library for schedule and details!

The Alvin Sherman Library is committed to providing our genealogical patrons quality, fun family history programs aimed at fostering lifelong learning for genealogists of all ages, backgrounds and experience levels. If you would like to begin your family tree and have never been to the Alvin Sherman Library to conduct genealogical research, Genealogy 101 is for you! In our Genealogy Open Labs you can use our specialized genealogical databases, share research discoveries with fellow genealogists or ask a librarian a genealogical research question. For those of our patrons that attended our 2008 Summer Learning Series (PDF), or our recent Native American Genealogy (PDF) one-day mini-conference, you know what great things are in store when you come to one of our genealogy programs!
