The Alvin Sherman Library is blooming with virtual programming this Spring. Our next writing workshop, led by the celebrated Dorian Cirrone, will help you capture your reader’s attention amidst a world of distractions. Inez Barlatier returns for our next My First Fine Arts family concert to share Creole folk songs and stories in a special pre-recorded performance. Get ready for our Summer Kick-Off next month! Our librarians have put together a jam-packed line-up of programs for kids, teens, and adults. Be on the lookout for details about the Summer Reading program. My First Fine Arts: Enjoy Haitian Music in Creole and English with Inez Barlatier

Enjoy a lively and fun performance designed to introduce preschool age children to Haitian (Ayiti) culture as Miami’s own Inez Barlatier shares Creole folk songs and stories in a special pre-recorded performance. The 30-minute concert filmed exclusively for the NSU Alvin Sherman Library debuts simultaneously on the library’s Facebook page and YouTube channel and will be available to view at your convenience for one month after the premiere. My First Fine-Arts is generously funded by PNC Bank’s Grow Up Great initiative. This series is designed for children ages 3 – 5.
