Play Index enables users to search 44,000 plays published individually or in collections from 1949 to the present.  Covers a wide range of plays written in or translated into English, including one-act plays, pageants, plays in verse, puppet performances, radio and television plays, and classic drama.  

Sources 
Since important classic and historical plays (e.g. the plays of Aeschylus and Euripides, Moliere’s works, Shakespeare’s dramas, works of George Bernard Shaw or Ibsen), are reprinted in collections and anthologies, you will find virtually any play being studied or performed in Play Index.
