American Mosaic is a full-text database focusing on the history and culture of African and Latino Americans. It combines African American Experience and Latino American Experience with content that spans the centuries, from the earliest origins of Africans and Latinos in North America to today.
American Mosaic includes a wide range of resources, including:
- An ever-expanding roster of more than 500 titles, reference and monograph, classic and brand-new
- 4,000 interviews with former slaves
- Over 6,500 photos, illustrations, maps, and charts
- Hundreds of primary documents, including treaties, legal decisions, letters, and speeches
- An integrated Timeline that allows users to explore African American or Latino history
- Classroom Resources, featuring more than 100 lesson plans
- Origins section exploring the diverse countries and regions of Latin America, the Caribbean, and the Iberian Peninsula, as well as Indigenous Civilizations,
