About SciFinder
SciFinder® retrieves information contained in databases produced by Chemical Abstracts Service (CAS) as well as in the MEDLINE® database of the National Library of Medicine (NLM).
Registration
You must register with SciFinder to create your own SciFinder username and password. You must use your Nova Southeastern University email address to be recognized as eligible to register. After you submit the form, you will receive an email message with instructions for completing the registration process. You will then be able to log in to the service. Click on the registration link to register.
You must follow these rules in creating your username and password:
- Your username must be unique and contain 5-15 characters. It can contain only letters or a combination of letters, numbers, and/or these special characters: - (dash), _ (underscore), . (period), @ (at symbol)
- Your password must contain 7-15 characters and include at least three of the following:
- Letters
- Mixed upper- and lowercase letters
- Numbers
- Non-alphanumeric characters (e.g., @, #, %, &, *)

Reaction information for single- and multiple-step reactions from 1907 to the present. |
Commercial Source Database |
CHEMCATS® |
Chemical source information, including supplier addresses and pricing information derived from current chemical catalogs and libraries, retrieved for individual substances. |
Regulatory Database |
CHEMLIST® |
Regulatory information records from 1979 to the present, including substance identity information, inventory status, sources, and compliance information. |
