are NSU's Electronic Resources? The Electronic Resources contains online resources available from NSU Libraries. The majority of online resources can be used both on campus and off campus. |

NSU Electronic Library? Go to the NSU home page at http://www.nova.edu/ From the horizontal navy menu bar on the Electronic Library page select “Libraries and Research”. Then click on “Electronic Resources”. |
| When can the library be accessed? NSU's Electronic Resources are available for free seven days a week, twenty-four hours per day. |
| How can I get around-the-clock help? Reference Assistance is available seven days a week via phone, email, personal appointment, or chat. The reference desk can be reached by calling (954) 262-4613 or 1800-541-6682 ext. 4613. Email the reference desk: refdesk@nova.edu |

| How can I access online indexes to citations
and/or articles? More than 200+ databases with 28,000 full text journals are accessible by faculty, staff and students in the Electronic Resources. These databases provide access to citations and some full-text articles. To access databases behind the secure area, users must enter their Last Name and University ID number (or 9-digit student number for non-U.S. citizens or residents). |
| Is there a way to view only the NSU journals
that are available online full-text? NSU's Full-Text Journal Title Search is also available and is used as an easy way to locate NSU’s online only publications. To access the NSU Full-Text Journal Title Search, you will need to be in the NSU system. You will be asked to provide your last name and University ID number is required. This is usually your Soc. | How do I suggest books or journals for
the library to purchase? Requests can be sent via interoffice mail to Lia Hemphill, Head of Collection Development for the NSU Main Library or email her at lia@nova.edu |
| Why can't my students find any articles
online for their topics? NSU students do have access to more than 28,000 full-text journals, but the subject areas that are more profitable for publishers have higher percentages of full-text resources available. This means that business, law, and medicine have high percentages of full-text journals available, but the social sciences have less than 500 journal titles available full text in education (currently less than 50% of the journals indexed in ERIC). They can, however, use the online indexes to locate abstracts of articles and request these documents through the Document Delivery/Interlibrary Loan service. |
