Step 3: Finding Industry Surveys

Industry Surveys, part of NetAdvantage, provides information about trends and major competitors in the field. For more information about using NetAdvantage to locate information, take a look at www.nova.edu/library/dils/lessons/netadvantage Activity 3 Locating Industry Surveys Go to the Alvin Sherman Library at www.nova.edu/library/main/ and click on the Electronic Resources at the top of the page. From the drop-down menu, select the "Databases" link and then select the "NSU Patron" link. Under "Browse by subject", select the "Company Information and Financials" link. From the list select "NetAdvantage" - Standard & Poor's. When prompted enter your "SharkLink ID" and "SharkLink Password" and then select the Submit button. From the tab located on the top page, select "Industries". Under "Select" you will see "Industry Surveys". From the drop-down menu select an industry, or under "Search by Company", you can also search by a Ticker or Company Name. Note Industry Survey is the default. Enter the information below.
