Finding Journal Articles About a Company

The library subscribes to over 400 databases, most of which have the full-text of articles. ABI/Inform Complete, a ProQuest business database , contains the most scholarly journal articles. It is also a good place to find information about companies and product information. If you need help using this resource, take a look at www.nova.edu/library/dils/lessons/abi

Tips for Finding Journal Articles Retrieved from Online Databases

Not all articles are available in full-text online. You can use Journal Finder to see if the library has access to a certain journal title in full text. If the journal is not available in full text you can request the article from Document Delivery/ILLiad (https://illiad.library.nova.edu)

Tips for Citing Journal Articles Retrieved from Online Databases

Journal articles that are retrieved full text online need to include a retrieval statement in the citation. For example:

Mujtaba, B. G. (2006). Appreciative inquiry: A positive revolution of change. Journal of Applied Management and Entrepreneurship, 11(2), 115-117. Retrieved from http://www.huizenga.nova.edu/jame

For additional examples of how to format journal articles, take a look at: APA Library Guide, APA Publication Guidelines; or APA Sample Reference.

For additional tips on how to find journal articles, contact the Reference Desk at (800) 541-6682 ext. 24613 or locally in Broward County at (954) 262-4613. You can also email refdesk@nova.edu
