Celebrating Chihuly at NSU

April 25-29, 2007, at the Alvin Sherman Library

Czech and Slovak Artists Exhibition

The Alvin Sherman Library in conjunction with Marcela Kotrcova, Director of the Fine Art Festival in the Czech Republic, is honored to present an exhibition of Czech and Slovak artists in the library’s second floor gallery. This exhibition is being held April 22-28th in conjunction with the Library’s unveiling of a permanent installation by Dale Chihuly and is meant to celebrate Mr. Chihuly’s Czech and Slovak heritage.

Join us for a wonderful exhibition of paintings, contemporary glass, woodcarvings, engravings, and small decorative items. All items will be available for sale with a portion of the proceeds going to the Sherman Library’s Circle of Friends.

Come meet Marcela Kotrcova at the Library Gallery on Saturday, April 28th from 2 p.m. A movie about the Czech Republic and the capital city of Prague will be shown at 3 p.m.
