International Student Orientation
What is orientation?
The Graduate Assistant for International Student Affairs in collaboration with the Office of International Student and Scholars has decided that it is integral to provide extensive Orientation Sessions and events for all incoming international students. The sessions are also open to pre-existing international students who want to learn more about the NSU campus and the available resources. Overall, the aim of the Orientation Sessions is to acquaint international students with programs and services at NSU.
Attending Orientation is an important step in making the transition to the NSU family. Essentially, it is the best way to acclimate yourself to life as a NSU student. The Orientation Program allows you to:
- Engage with present international students who shares similar experiences and will guide you through your program.
- Learn about the programs, services and resources available to you.
- Acquire knowledge of the rules and regulations governing international students.
- Get all your questions answered.
- Acquaint yourself with life at NSU as an international student.
As a team we have decided that it is expected for all incoming international students to attend the Orientation Session. Returning students are welcome to join the session. It will provide you with relevant knowledge of benefit to you. Family members are also welcome to attend all the orientation sessions and events. You have to register for the Orientation. It’s all free of cost to you. Next session will be held in Fall 2009.
