This interdisciplinary honors travel course involves academic instruction and directed learning outside of the traditional classroom. The course enables students to explore important themes and issues in specific areas of knowledge related to our diverse and interdependent world. Students work in groups under leadership of faculty and will reflect their travel experiences through the examination of art, history, science, literature, psychology, and culture.  Pre-requisite: honors students only.

  • Health and Safety Orientation
  • Free evening
Tuesday, May 16
  • Bateaux Mouches river cruise
  • Notre Dame (no towers) walking tour of Latin Quarter
  • Welcome dinner
Wednesday, May 17
  • Paris Sewer Tour
  • Military Museum
Thursday, May 18 Free morning
  • Musée du Vin Paris and tasting
Friday, May 19
  • Louvre (guided tour)
  • Free time for lunch
  • Musée Rodin (unguided)
Saturday, May 20 Free Day
Sunday, May 21
  • Exploring Paris Through Architecture walking tour in the Marais
    (14th through 18th century architecture)
Monday, May 22 Excursion: WWI sites
  • Depart Paris via coach (guide will join group on bus)
  • Aisne Oise Cemetery (guided) Douamont Fort (guided)
  • Douaumont Ossuary Memorial (guided)
*Night in Verdun area
Tuesday, May 23 Excursion
  • Depart Verdun, travel to Reims Visit Champagne cave
  • Reims Cathedral (guided) Return to Paris
Wednesday, May 24 Organized Day Trips out of Paris (led by faculty)
Thursday, May 25 Free morning
  • Walking tour of Montmartre
Friday, May 26 Free Day Farewell dinner
Saturday, May 27 Depart Paris
