Academic Curriculum
IDEP utilizes the expertise of NSU faculty, in conjunction with that of its partners, to provide a myriad of programs and services, including:
- Training in all-hazards preparedness and response (appropriate for diverse audiences)
- Educational materials
- Presentations on a wide variety of all-hazards related topics
- Speaker program development
- Clinical and emergency management expertise and consultation
- Casualty Objective Structured Clinical Examination (COSCE) development and implementation
In collaboration with our partners, the institute offers a series of courses on emergency preparedness topics for health care professionals who have a medical and/or scientific background as well as for health care workers whose training may be non-scientific (e.g., health care administrators, support service, security staff).
- Course 1 - Bioterrorism and All-Hazards Preparedness: Basic Awareness
