All classes held at the Miami Student Educational Center in Kendall will resume at their regularly scheduled times on Monday, August 29.

Classes on Main Campus Resume Saturday; Library Open; Clinics Closed
Classes
All classes at Nova Southeastern University facilities on its main campus in Davie/Ft. Lauderdale and West Palm Beach will resume at their regularly scheduled times on Saturday, August 27. Normal hours will be in effect for students, faculty and staff. Students attending classes at University Park Plaza and in the Parker Building are encouraged to arrive early as they may have to be relocated to the Shepard Board Law Center and Maxwell Maltz Psychology Building, if power is not restored in time for class.
Library
The Alvin Sherman Library Research, Information Technology Center, a joint-use facility serving the residents of Broward County, will resume regular operations at 8 a.m. on Saturday, August 27.
Commencement Weekend - College of Allied Health and Nursing
The Senior Awards Banquet for the College of Allied Health and Nursing will be held as scheduled, at 7 p.m., Saturday, August 27, at the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa. Commencement ceremonies will be held at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, August 28 beginning at 2 p.m.
NSU Clinics
NSU Health Care Centers will be CLOSED on Saturday, August 27. All scheduled patient services at the Sanford L. Ziff and North Miami Beach Health Centers on Saturday, August 27 will be rescheduled. Patients should call 954-262-4100 to reschedule their appointments.

All classes at Nova Southeastern University facilities in Broward, Miami-Dade, and Palm Beach Counties are suspended beginning at 12 p.m. (noon) today. Classes, events and clinics are also cancelled for Friday, August 26. This closure affects all students, faculty and staff of the University
>> The College of Allied Health and Nursing Commencement weekend is scheduled to take place. Although the University is closed Thursday afternoon and Friday and graduation rehearsal is canceled, the Senior Awards Banquet will be held at 7:00 p.m., Saturday, August 27, 2005 at the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa. Commencement ceremonies will be held at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts on Sunday, August 28, 2005. Students are required to be at the Performing Arts Center at 12:30 p.m. Commencement ceremonies will begin promptly at 2:00 p.m. Students can pick up their caps, gowns and tickets at the Westin Diplomat Resort and Spa on Saturday evening. For those students not attending the dinners they can pick up their regalia and tickets on Sunday at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts. At this time, Nova Southeastern University remains under normal operating conditions. All classes, events and clinical activities are on regular schedule. All employees should report to work as scheduled.
Thursday, August 25 and Friday, August 26 all classes at University School of NSU (K - 12) and Mailman Segal Institute for Early Childhood Studies are cancelled. All employees of University School and the Mailman Segal Institute are expected to report to work.

NSU is currently monitoring the progress of Tropical Storm Katrina. At this time, the University remains under normal operating conditions. All classes, events, and clinical activities are on regular schedule. Please refer to this page for periodic updates.
At 11 a.m. EDT, a Tropical Storm Warning and a Hurricane Watch have been issued for the Southeast Florida coast from Vero Beach southward to Florida City. A Hurricane Watch means that hurricane conditions are possible within the watch area...generally within 36 hours.
A Tropical Storm Warning remains in effect for the central and northwest Bahamas. A Tropical Storm Warning means that tropical storm conditions are expected within the warning area within the next 24 hours.
NSU's hurricane planning team will issue further updates as they become necessary.
