Funding: Early Learning Coalition of Broward County

This is a five year project designed to improve the quality of the early care and education system in Broward County. The project will focus on providing early childhood programs serving a majority of school readiness children in Broward County with the pedagogical skills that have been proven by research to directly impact child outcomes - particularly children from high-need communities.

Building Emergent Literacy and Language Skills
Funding: U.S. Department of Education- Early reading First Grant, in collaboration with Broward County Public Schools

Building Responsive Caregiving
Funding: Quality of Life Council of Nova Southeastern University
Amount: $10,000
This grant funds a project working with staff at an emergency shelter for abused and neglected infants and toddlers. Using a combination of workshops and mentoring, staff will be trained to enhance the quality of the interaction and the environment presented to children.
