Private, individualized, one hour Nutrition Therapy counseling sessions are available to help manage diabetes, hypertension, overweight, and obesity: A physician’s prescription is required.

Free Tobacco Cessation Programs
Have you thought about quitting smoking, but just cannot seem to successfully stop? Quit Smoking Now is a FREE 6-week tobacco cessation group.
The NSU Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) Program and the Healthy Lifestyles Guided Self-Change Program offer group and individual programs designed to motivate and help tobacco users prepare to quit, select a quit date, and learn strategies and skills to quit and stay tobacco free.

Center for Assessment and Intervention
The Center for Assessment and Intervention at NSU provides free individual therapy, family therapy, psychological/psychoeducational testing, and vocational assessment services to Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF), Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation New Dawn (OND) active duty service members, Veterans and their family members, including but not limited to, spouses, children, siblings, parents, grandparents and significant others.

Did you know there are an estimated 34 million people who are an unpaid caregiver for a loved one? Are you an unpaid caregiver providing care to someone age 18 and older who is ill or has a disability?
The NSU Caregiver Alliance Program conducts a monthly Brown Bag Lunch program for NSU employees to connect with fellow caregivers, and give and receive needed support. Each monthly program includes a guest expert to present a topic related to taking care of our loved ones and ourselves.
