The Collaboration is an international non-profit organisation
that aims to help people make informed decisions about health care, by reviewing
and promoting the best available evidence on the effects of interventions and
treatments. healthfinder® is an award-winning Federal Web
site, developed by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services together
with other Federal agencies. Since 1997, healthfinder®
has been recognized as a key resource for finding the best government and
nonprofit health and human services information on the Internet. healthfinder®
links to carefully selected information and Web sites from over 1,700
health-related organizations. The health
sciences librarians of the Committee for
Institutional Cooperation (CIC) schools work cooperatively to develop an
interface which will provide organized access to evaluated non-commercial,
health-related, Internet-accessible resources. The resources will include those
currently available as well as new resources developed in collaboration with
other organizations. Information about healthy living, diseases and conditions,
drugs, health tools, books and newsletters. A medicine and health portal to free access to online,
physician-reviewed information. MedCalc 3000 is a unique computerized medical
reference and tool set. MedCalc 3000 encompasses a wide array of pertinent
medical formulae, clinical criteria sets and decision tree analysis tools used
everyday by clinicians, medical educators, nurses and health care students of

the consumer. A resource maintained by the staff of the Robert
W. Woodruff Health Sciences Center Library of Emory University. A non-profit consumer health web site that provides high
quality information created and evaluated by medical and health professional
faculty at the University of Cincinnati, Case Western Reserve University and The
Ohio State University. New York Online Access to Health. NOAH
provides access to high quality full-text consumer health information in English
and Spanish that is accurate, timely, relevant and unbiased. Scirus Search via ScienceDirect Scirus Search enables users to query a vast collection of
science-relevant websites and pages. Users may restrict their search request to
one or more specific subject areas. Scirus Search users also have the option to
restrict their search request to a particular information source, e.g.,
scientists' home pages or articles and publications. Scirus search results are
displayed in Scirus by opening a secondary browser window. To use Scirus
login to ScienceDirect
and select the Scirus tab: The Student Doctor Network is operated
by the Coastal Research Group, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) tax-exempt charitable
organization. The Coastal Research Group is dedicated to medical student and
resident education. As part of CRG's mission, they provide the Student Doctor
Network as an independent resource to the pre-health and health professional
student community. Virtual Hospital is a digital health sciences library created
in 1992 at the University of Iowa to help meet the information needs of health
care providers and patients. The goal of the Virtual Hospital digital library is
to make the Internet a useful medical reference and health promotion tool for
health care providers and patients. The Virtual Hospital digital library
contains thousands of textbooks and booklets for health care providers and
