Housing Process Overview

How to Apply for Housing

To apply for main campus housing, follow these steps.

  1. Submit your housing application and pay your $500 housing deposit online. Once completed, we will contact you regarding your application status.
  2. Submit your Immunization records by fax to (954) 262-3812 or scan and email to reslife@nova.edu.
  3. Enroll in student health insurance or submit your health insurance waiver online.

Room and Roommate Process

After Completion of your Housing Application and $500 deposit

You will receive your unique Residential Management System (RMS) number from the Office of Residential Life and Housing via email. This unique number will allow you to begin your room selection and/or your roommate matching process.

Fall

New Graduate Residents: As of April 1st we are no longer accepting roommate requesting via email to housing@nova.edu.  Room assignments are available online by using your RMS username and password on July 2nd.

New Undergraduate Residents: As of July 15th we are no longer accepting roommate request via RMS.  Room assignment will be available online by using your RMS username and password on August 1st.

Winter

New Winter Residents
New winter residents have until November 15 to request a roommate via email to housing@nova.edu and select a room preference. Room assignments are available online by using your RMS username and password on December 2.

Summer

New Summer Residents
New summer residents have until April 1 to request a roommate via email to housing@nova.edu and select a room preference. Room assignments are available online by using your RMS username and password on April 15.

Important Student Financial Account Information

Please make sure you satisfy your student account balance and all financial aid requirements. This may include signing a Promissory Note and/or signing up for an NSU payment plan. Schedule an appointment by phone or in-person with an Enrollment and Student Service representative by contacting (954) 262-5200 to ensure you are in good financial standing.
