How to View/Order Academic Transcripts

  1. There are two different types of transcripts that you need to be aware of:

    • Unofficial transcripts can be accessed through WebSTAR or SharkLink. You will need to login in WebSTAR to print your unofficial transcripts. In case you want to save for your records your unofficial transcripts and you need to email it as an attachment, is better to login in WebSTAR using Google Chrome or Safari browser. Both browsers have the option to save what you have on screen as an electronic document in .pdf format.
    • Official transcripts are usually requested by other universities or employers. They are sent only via mail with the option for overnight express.

    Once you login in to WebSTAR, you will see the general menu. Click on Student.

  2. Click Student Records.


Unofficial Transcripts

  1. To view your unofficial transcripts, click on Academic Record (Unofficial Transcript) in the Student Records menu. You will see the following:

  2. Choose your transcript level and type from the dropdown menus and click on Submit. Your unofficial transcript will be displayed.

Official Transcripts

  1. To request your official transcript, click on Request Printed/Official Transcript in the Student Records menu. You will see the following:

    • If you would like your transcript to be sent to another university or college, enter their college code next to "External College Code." If you don't know the code, click Look Up College Code and select the required information (state, city and college name).

    • If you would like your transcript to be sent to one of the mailing addresses on file for you, select it from the drop down menu next to "One of Your Addresses."

    • If you are continuing your education with NSU and would like your transcript to be sent to another program at the university, select the program in the drop down menu next to "Internal College."

    • If you would like this to be sent to your employer or any other third party, enter their name in the field next to "Issue to."

  2. Click Continue.

  3. Select the Transcript Type from the drop down menu.

  4. Verify (or enter) the address you want the transcript sent to, then click Continue.You will be brought to the following screen:



    Important Information:

    • Please be sure to read the information above the form shown above. This area has information regarding charges for the transcripts and delivery, as well as instructions for special situations.

    • If your delivery method incurs a charge, you will be asked to select a payment method.

  5. Once you're finished, click Continue.

  6. Click Submit Request.

  7. If you are requesting more than 10 official academic transcripts, you may wish to take advantage of our special bulk rate. Click Bulk Rate for more information.
