WebSTAR for Faculty
Contacting Your Class
Once you log in to WebSTAR, you will see the general menu. Click on Faculty & Advisors and you will see the following menu:

Click Term Selection.

Select the term from the drop-down menu, then click Submit. You will be brought back to the Faculty & Advisors menu.

Click CRN Selection.

Select the CRN of the class, then click Submit. You will be brought back to the Faculty & Advisors menu.

Click Detail Class List and you will be brought to a detailed list of the class you specified. This list will contain most of the information for your students.

To email an individual student in the course, click the email icon at the right of his/her record (see illustration above).

Very Important: If the student does not have the icon to the right of his/her record, it means they do not have an NSU email account.

To email the entire class, scroll down to the very bottom of the class list. You will see the Email class link (as shown above).

About the Email Class Feature

Once you click the Email class link, it will open up a "Compose message" window using your default email program to send the message.

The To: section will be populated with all students of the selected course with valid NSU email accounts.

The email addresses in the To: field will be separated by commas. If your mail program does not recognize this (some programs require email addresses to be separated by semicolons), you may need to change each comma to the recognized delimiter.
