Publishing your Web Page
When you're finished creating your page, you need to publish it to allow others to see it on the Internet.
- Click on the Publish button on your toolbar. You'll see the following window:

- Click on the publish tab and next to Page Title, enter the title of your page. You can use uppercase or lowercase letters, as well as spaces and special characters.

- Next to Filename: enter the name of the file - preferrably all lowercase letters with no dashes, spaces or special characters. If you've saved the file already, this information should show up automatically when you open the Publish window.
- Under Site subdirectory for this page: type public_html
- Click on the Settings tab at the top of the window and you will see the following:

- The Site Name can be anything you would like. In the example above it is NSU.
- Now you need to find your Publishing address. This is based on your area of study at NSU. Please refer to the list below:
Undergraduate ONLY
ftp://polaris.nova.edu/~username Graduate Education ONLY ftp://fgse.nova.edu/~username Graduate Computer Science ONLY ftp://scis.nova.edu/home/~username Oceanography ONLY ftp://ocean.nova.edu/~username Graduate Business ONLY ftp://sbe.nova.edu/~username Health Professions ONLY ftp://hpd.nova.edu/~username Law ONLY ftp://law.nova.edu/~username Humanities & Social Sciences ONLY ftp://shss.nova.edu/~username Graduate Psychology ONLY ftp://cps.nova.edu/~username Administrative Staff ONLY ftp://nsu.nova.edu/~username
In all cases you need to substitute "username" with your NSU email name. For example, I am an Administrative Staff member so my ftp address is ftp://nsu.nova.edu/~tamara
- Under HTTP address of your homepage: you will enter the web address of your page. This would be http://www.nova.edu/~username (where "username" is your NSU email name).
- Next you need to enter your username and password. Your username is your NSU email name. Your password is a combination of four letters and four numbers. Both should be entered with all lowercase letters. Put a check next to Save password.

- Click on Publish. After you've successfully published your page, all the information in the Publish window will be saved.
- To view your page, go to http://www.nova.edu/~username where username is your NSU email name.
