To download and install WS_FTP:
- Go to http://www.download.com. Next to Search type WS_FTP LE and click on Go.
- Find the option WS_FTP LE (32-bit) 5.08 and click on it.
- Click on Download Now.
- A File Download window will show up. Make sure the Save this program to disk option is selected and click on OK.

- A Save As window will appear. Click on the dropdown menu next to Save in and select Desktop. Click on Save.

- Now you will see a window showing the status of the download. When it's done downloading, this window will disappear.

- Close all Windows programs. On your desktop you will see a new icon:
Double click on it.
- You will see a window as shown below. Click on Continue.

- Another window will appear. Choose the first option and click on Next.

- Under Location: click on At home. Under Purpose: click on “For academic work”. Click on Next.

- A license agreement will come up next. Read the terms and conditions and click on Accept.
- The destination folder is the folder the program will install into. Click on OK.
- The local destination folder is where the program will automatically open into when you start the program. Click on OK.

- The Program Manager group is the name of the Program folder that will be created. Click on OK.

- When you're done you'll get a “Congratulations!” screen. Click on OK.

- Click on the Start button. Go to Programs, WS_FTP and click on WS_FTP95LE. The following window will appear.

- To set up a new profile, click on New. Type NSU as your Profile Name. Use school.nova.edu as the Host Name, where school is the program you are with at the university (for example: fcae, polaris, sbe, cps, etc.) The Host Type should remain Automatic detect. The User ID is your NSU username. Password should be your NSU password. Click on OK.

- The following screen will appear.

The local system (left section of the window) shows you what is on your computer. It will automatically start in your C:\Program Files\WS_FTP folder. To go up a folder, to C:\Program Files, double click on the green arrow under local system.
The remote site (right section of the window) shows you what is in your account on the NSU server. You will not be able to double click on the green arrow when you are in the folder /home/username. To open a folder double click on it.
To upload a file (move it from your computer to your NSU account):- Find the file on the Local System side of the window and click on it.
- Double click on the folder you want to save the file in on the Remote Site.
- Click on the arrow pointing to the right.
- Find the file on the Remote Site side of the window and click on it.
- Find the folder you want to save the file in on the Local System.
- Click on the arrow pointing to the left.
To exit the program click on Exit.
