Virtual Private Network (VPN) Instructions
Some students, staff and faculty may want to set up their personal computer(s) to access the NSU network. By using the VPN (Virtual Private Network), you create a secure connection from your outside Internet service to NSU's network and gain the ability to access resources that are only available when connected to NSU.
Note: For the security and protection of our Network, computers launching the VPN must have updated virus protection software. For initial set up, computers must also have administrator access.
- Go to vpn.nova.edu
- Login using your SharkLink ID and password. Select Realm: Windows (for all Windows operating system) or Mac/Linux (for Mac and Linux operating systems)

- It may take several minutes to load as it will check for all necessary software.

- You may need to install an ActiveX control. If you are not prompted to install the ActiveX control, skip to step 6.

- Click Install

- Click Run

- Once the VPN is successfully launched you will get the following window.

Enter application name in blank field then click Browse

- When a site requiring VPN is accessed, the menu bar below will appear on the upper right or left corner of the page or click on the Bookmark icon. or
- You will see the window below. Enter information (*indicated required field) then click Add Bookmark.
- Once you have bookmarked the web application(s) they will be listed as shown below. You may access the application by click on the link.
- When a site requiring VPN is accessed the menu bar below will appear on the upper right or left corner of the page or click on the Bookmark icon.

- You will see the window below. Enter information (*indicated required field) then click Add Bookmark.

- Once you have bookmarked the web application(s) they will be listed as shown below. You may access the application by click on the link.
