Initial Setup
If you're running Spybot for the first time, you will need to go through some initial setup steps.
1. You'll get a window entitled "Legal Stuff" first. If you don't want to get this message every time you run the program, put a checkmark next to "Don't show this message again.", then click OK.
2. If you have another known spyware program running, you may get the following warning.
3. Please read the warning(s) then click OK.
4. Click Create registry backup. It may take several minutes. When it's done, the Next button will be available. Click Next.
5. Click Search for updates. When it is finished, the Download all available updates button will become available. Click on it, then click Next.
6. Click Immunize this system. Click Next.
7. Click Start using the program (shown below).
