Usage Instructions
If Spybot is not running, open the program by double-clicking the icon on your desktop. If the program is running, proceed to Step 1.
1. Click File, then click Check for problems.
2. The program will begin to run. You will see it's progress in the lower left-hand corner of the screen. When it is finished you will see the detected spyware show up in the main frame and the number of problems found will show up in the lower left-hand corner of the screen. See the example below:
3. Go through the list to see what you are removing. They show up through Spybot because they are known spyware programs, however if you wish to keep any, for whatever reason you can uncheck it. Click Fix selected problems.
4. You may get a message confirming that you would really like to remove the programs selected. Select OK.
Please note: Removing some spyware could require you to restart your computer. If this is necessary, you will be prompted by Spybot. Follow the instructions it gives.
5. Run the scan a second time to be sure that Spybot removed all the spyware.
Congratulations, you have removed the spyware from your computer!
