Internet Setup Instructions

  1. Go Into the Assistants folder on hard drive. Double-click the Internet Setup Assistant.



  2. Click on Update.



  3. Click on the right arrow.



  4. Put dot next to "Add Internet configuration". Click on the right arrow.



  5. Type in NSU for the name of configuration. Put dot next to "Modem" and click on right arrow.



  6. Find your modem in the list and then choose the port you want to connect to. Put the dot next to "Tone" and click on the right arrow.



  7. Next to Local Access Number: type 4523300.Type in your NSU email address in the next field and then type in your NSU password in the last field. **Please make sure you enter your username and password in all lowercase letters). Click on the right arrow.



  8. Put dot next to "No". Click on the right arrow.



  9. There are no DNS entries or domains. Make sure the next screen has no entries and click on the right arrow.



  10. Type in your NSU email address in the first field. Make sure there are no spaces. Type your NSU password in the second field. Make sure both the username and password are entered using all lowercase letters. Click on the right arrow.



  11. Type in your NSU email address in the first field. Make sure there are no spaces. Type in pop.nova.edu for the SMTP field. Click on the right arrow.



  12. Type in news.nova.edu for the NNTP server. Click on the right arrow.



  13. You are now ready to connect online. If you put a check next to "Connect when finished" and hit "Go Ahead" it will automatically connect you on the Internet. If you want to connect online later then leave checkmark out and click on "Go Ahead".
