Why can't I see the place to enter my nickname?
(Example)

Sometimes this happens when you've scrolled down, then back up again. Try clicking the refresh button on your browser to correct this.
If that doesn't help, you may need to install the latest version of Java. Go to http://www.java.com and follow the instructions.
Which web browser(s) do you recommend for running DigiChat?
For the best speed and compatibility with the Client applet, we recommend Netscape 6.2 or Internet Explorer 6.0 for Windows, and Internet Explorer 4.5 or later for Macintosh with MRJ 2.1 or later. You may use Netscape 4.0 for Macintosh, though these browsers exhibit poor Java performance.
To download the latest browsers, go to http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com/en/default.asp
Does DigiChat run under America Online?
Yes. However, it may be necessary to access DigiChat from an external browser, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator/Communicator, rather than the built-in AOL web browser. Opening a newer browser while running AOL should fix this problem.
How many students will each chat room hold?
Up to 1000 students can be logged into a chat room at a time.
How quickly are transcripts available?
Transcripts are updated every minute. You will be able to view your transcript logs one minute after they have been posted.
Are private messages written to the transcripts?
No. Private messages are kept private and can only be viewed by the users who send the message and their intended recipients.
