Family Violence Program
We offer the community therapeutic interventions for issues involving all aspects of domestic violence. The program offers individual therapy focused on a wide variety of common symptoms resulting from abuse, such as depression and anxiety, as well as anger-management training for perpetrators of domestic violence.
Who We Help
Nova Southeastern University's Family Violence Program provides psychological services to children, adolescents, and adults in:
- Offering assistance in identifying and overcoming effects of abuse, while also helping perpetrators learn nonviolent behaviors
- Assisting children who have witnessed violence to overcome its effects
- Helping adolescents learn anger-management skills and promoting nonviolent ways of resolving conflicts.We offer Individual and group therapy sessions on a sliding-scale fee basis and emphasize assertiveness, communication, and problem-solving skills.
