Center for Assessment and Intervention Information
The Center for Assessment and Intervention (CAI) at Nova Southeastern University's Human Services Department is committed to enhancing the quality of life of individuals, families, and communities by providing services aimed at promoting academic and workplace success. CAI primarily offers comprehensive psychoeducational assessments for a wide variety of school based referrals including, but not limited to:
- Educational Programming
- Intellectual Giftedness
- Specific Learning Difficulties
- Developmental Delays and Disorders
- Language Delays/Issues
- Social/Emotional/Behavioral Problems
- Cognitive Impairment
- Vocational Planning
In addition, CAI also offers therapeutic services for a wide variety of mental health issues, as well as offering services for survivors and victims of torture referred through Gulf Coast Jewish Community Services, Florida Center for Survivors of Torture and services for United States Veterans. CAI staff and faculty also provide in-service teacher and parent trainings, educational webinars, and trainings for students and mental health providers.
Fees for services are assessed based on a sliding scale. Services are available to children, adults, and other adult clients regardless of race, color, sex, non-disqualifying disability, religion or creed, sexual orientation, or national or ethnic origin.
