Attending this event impacted me in many different ways. I am now more informed about various clubs and organizations. It opened my eyes and mind to how vital and beneficial it is to get involved in some way—whether it is a sport, club, or whatever you choose. Do Something Different: Diversity Awareness at NSU
The workshop on diversity was one of the most eye-opening experiences I have had since I've been at Nova. This session made me realize the power of using everyone's skills to make the whole group better. This gave me a sense of unity and a feeling that everyone is equal. Since being here at NSU, I have learned that this is a very diverse place and a great place to experience multiculturalism. All in all, this workshop was a great experience, and I learned a lot about respecting and appreciating others.

Aces to A's
This workshop series showed us how to find the resources and tools that will help us succeed in school. I was unaware that there were so many resources. NSU offers so many workshops and resource centers, that there is no excuse to not do well in school. This school sets up each student to succeed. Each service will help you become a better student; it educates students on what will work to enable success… I have decided after this workshop that I will take full advantage of the academic services they offer on campus.

Deal Yourself a Winning Hand
This workshop gave me a better picture of ways I can make conscious choices throughout the school year. I learned that I have to take into consideration the classes I should take. I now know how to keep myself organized without getting overwhelmed. This session was an interactive way to help us make better choices in our academic lives. Throughout our experiences here at NSU, academic advisors are here to assist us with our academic needs and give us insightful advice.
